Inaugurated in 2010 and standing at a height of 829.8 m (2,722 ft) the eye-catching Burj Khalifa is currently the tallest building in the world.
The observation deck on the 124th floor at 555 m is the second highest in the world (surpassed by Shanghai Tower in 2015) and offers a spectacular 360-degree view of Dubai.

# Dubai Fountains 6 
Known worldwide as the largest choreographed fountain system, the spectacular Dubai Fountains can shoot 83,000 liters (22,000 gallons) of water up to 152.4 m (500 ft) into the air at any moment, accompanied by a wide range of classical to contemporary Arabic and world music.
The system features many high-pressure water jets and shooters, six hundred lights, and twenty-five colored projectors. It is located on the twelve hectares (30-acre) man-made lake beneath Dubai Mall. The fountains are designed by the creators of the Fountains of Bellagio in Vegas and built at a cost of US$218 million.

Shaped like a sail and standing 321 meters high on its own small artificial island, the iconic Burj Al-Arab is one of the world's tallest, most famous, and most luxurious hotels.
If you are not staying at this (extremely expensive) hotel, you can gain entry by booking a guided tour to visit the lobby, a small museum, the terrace, and the presidential suite.

The gigantic viewing panel itself is the top attraction of this world-class aquarium (#8 in our list of the best aquariums in the world), situated inside Dubai Mall.
It contains over three hundred sharks and rays, including the largest collection of Sand Tiger sharks in the world, but other popular denizens consist of sumo-sized groupers and massive schools of pelagic fish. A special 'lunar-cyclic' lighting system changes the ambiance of the tank depending on the time of day.
