Miami's Charm: Beaches, Art Deco, and Spanish-Speaking Culture
Table of Contents
A. About Miami
Miami, the southernmost and largest city in Florida, is avant-garde and future-oriented with an impressive skyline and a Latin American flair. Over 50 percent of all residents speak Spanish.
What would Miami be without its cream slice, Miami Beach, and its unique Art Deco district?
The Magic City is a perfect city for sunbathers with endless sandy beaches and tropical weather. On the famous Ocean Drive, you can watch the show of the rich and beautiful with a cocktail or you can indulge in the shopping frenzy in one of the big malls.
Exciting museums such as the Vizcaya Museum, as well as other highlights such as Venetian Pool, invite you to visit.
➕ The Good
Situated on the Atlantic coast bordering Key Biscayne Bay, and also at the mouth of the Miami River, Miami enjoys, first of all, a phenomenal location.
Furthermore, the fantastic climate of Miami is tropical, with pleasantly warm winters and long and muggy summers.
With plenty of trendy cafés, bars, and nightclubs, the nightlife is particularly vibrant.
Finally, the city delights visitors with great shopping, delicious food, and clean streets.
➖ Negative Aspects
Miami is a rather expensive city.
In addition, the city offers only a few pedestrian zones (mainly Lincoln Road), and (compared to other cities) there are no major cultural attractions or great architectural icons (give or take a few Art Deco buildings).
