A. About Split
Nickname: The Most Beautiful City in the WorldSplit, Croatia's second-largest city, has a unique historical heritage, the Diocletian’s Palace, located just behind the always-busy palm-lined waterfront.
The heart of the historic center of Split is integrated into the remains of this imposing Roman palace with labyrinthine pedestrianized streets packed with people, bars, shops, and restaurants.
West of the city center Marjan Hill commands fantastic views over the city and its several lovely beaches.
➕ The Good
Split enjoys a fantastic location under a dramatic mountain backdrop on a beautiful stretch of the Adriatic coastline and scores solid to high in almost all of the other categories.
On top of that, the climate is more than appealing.
➖ Negative Aspects
Split has no real flaw, but shopping is just average and with less than 180,000 inhabitants it is one of the smallest cities on our list.
